1.
The First step would be to get a picture you
would like to edit.
2.
Open your picture into Photoshop by
file/open/-and find your photo
3.
Create a new layer over the original picture so
you can create a realistic eye color later on.
4.
Use the Elliptical marquee tool to make a
selection over one of the eyes, it’s ok if it covers the skin or white it can
be erased later.
5.
Repeat this over both eyes-when going to do the
other eye press the SHIFT key so it will keep both selections, if you don’t the
first selection will disappear.
6.
Now select the Quick Mask (it looks like a
little camera at the bottom of your tools)you will have a color masking your
selection now.
7.
Grab the Eraser and erase the color from the
pupil and glare
8.
Exit out of quick mask by pressing the button
again, it will come back to the original selection except dots will also be
around the pupil and glare- Grab the Paint Bucket Tool and choose any color (different than the eye)
to fill the selection. Make sure your new layer(made in step 3) is selected.
9.
Change the blending mode of your new layer to
Soft Light(any would work, this is just preference)with this you can get the
detail of the real eye from underneath.
10. Erase
the color that goes outside your eye and fill in the space around the edge and
pupil edge if needed-With that you have changed your eye color!

This tutorial for changing the eye color has little need for critiquing. The only thing that I didn't see in this tutorial that I would have liked to see would be how to remove the red veins in the eye area other than that everything else was fine.
ReplyDeleteI really liked this tutorial! Its really cool that you can change eye color like that. Next time maybe if you could show us how to put more then one color in the eye I think that would look really cool. Great job!
ReplyDeleteThis tutorial was very straight forward on how to change the eye color, I liked this tutorial a lot! One thing I would've liked to see is variation of some different colors, almost like a mix of colors. Other than that great tutorial!
