clipping text tutorial: by Jared

First thing you’ll need is a background opened in photoshop, make sure the layer isn’t locked



then you need whatever theme word you’re putting to have the text filled with


then you have to take the text layer and drag it underneath the background layer

after that, with the background layer selected, go to the layers option in the upper tool bar and select “create clipping mask” option


and then you should have something like this

from here you can add a second background to cover the newly blank space


and even add drop shadow for effects found at the lower “fx” panel


adjust accordingly, and end up with something that’s more than likely better than this:
