Photo Cube!


Photo Cube Tutorial!

  1. Open a new file-open it with the International paper Preset-also grab a few pictures you would like to use later on

2.Go to the top bar and click Photoshop/preferences/Guides, Grids & Slices
A box will come up go to the drop down with measurements and make sure it is on cm then change Gridline every-2 and subdivisions-3 leave everything else as its default 
3.Go to View/show/Grid and the grid will come up on your canvas
 
4.Make a new layer above the background layer , and grab your rectangle tool. Make three 4x4 squares- two lined up and the third above.
5.     Go into Free Transform -Hold the command key(mac) over the middle point of the bottom right square and move it up 1 BIG square. Then move it in 2 TINY squares.
66.     On to the Left Square Go into Free Transform and hold down the command key and use the left middle point to move the square up 1 BIG square and in 2 TINY squares.
77.    On the top square make sure it is lined up with the tallest corner of the bottom right square. Free transform then press Command and click the bottom left corner to meet in the middle where the other to squares touch. Then Make the top left point touch the tallest point of the left square. Grab The  top right point and drag it one big square above the tallest points.And Now you have a Cube.
88.   (Command H to get rid of the grid lines)Grab your 3 Pictures for the faces of the cube and place them on your canvas. Use the rectangle tool to create another 4x4 square .Now get your first picture, shrink and cut it to your liking in the size of that square.
99.Hide 2 of the square sides and line up your picture with the side you choose to put this image. Make the Picture fit the box Using free transform
 10.Repeat steps 7 and 8 for all three pictures and you have your photo Cube

  1. This tutorial was great, the only thing that confused me was how to make the picture fit using free transform. I just messed around and then learned how to do it using the skew transform. Other than that it was a cool tutorial that i enjoyed.

  2. Good tutorial that showed how to do the cube step by step. It would have been nice if the wording was a little more on point and descriptive. I got lost on how to fill the squares and what sizes to make them; I had to completely go off of the images attached because the text said nothing of it.

  5. This tutorial was great! It was easy to follow. But they needed to be more descriptive on telling which square to transform. But other than that had really fun doing this tutorial!
